Florida Lions Overview

Lions Clubs in Florida, part of Lions Clubs International, are community-based service organizations focused on improving health, well-being, and strengthening communities, with a particular focus on sight conservation and youth programs

  Community Service:

  • Lions Clubs focus on serving local communities and addressing their needs, including fighting blindness, caring for the environment, feeding the hungry, and aiding seniors and the disabled.

  Sight Conservation:

  • Lions Clubs are known for their work in sight conservation, conducting vision screenings, equipping hospitals and clinics, distributing medicine, and raising awareness of eye diseases.

  Youth Programs:

  • They also support local children and schools through scholarships, recreation, and mentoring programs, as well as international programs like the Peace Poster Contest and Lions Quest.

  Disaster Relief:

  • Lions Clubs in Florida, like those elsewhere, provide assistance during natural disasters like hurricanes, tornadoes, and floods.

Being a Lion means knowing that kindness matters.

We believe in changing the world by serving the needs of our local communities. More than 1.4 million Lions around the world are responding to local and global challenges with kindness and care. Come volunteer with us.

When selfless, like-minded people gather together, beautiful things happen. From facilitating health screenings and feeding the hungry to cleaning up local parks and helping rebuild communities after disaster, Lions are ready and willing to jump in wherever there’s a need.
